A bagel is a bread product, traditionally shaped by hand into the form of a ring from yeasted wheat dough, roughly hand-sized, which is first boiled for a short time in water and then baked. A Poppyseed Bagel has poppy seeds sprinkled on top to add flavor. In Bread Kittens, the Poppyseed Bagel takes 90% percent of your kitten or puppy's HP (or Hit Points) and add that much to the kitten or puppy's total.
In Bread Kittens, it is unlocked after completing Timber Forest. In Bread Puppies, it is unlocked after completing Clover Cliffs. In both games, it is unlocked at the same time as Naan.
